How long?

This is not new, but it is not past either. It is an eternal issue which presents a deeply regrettable situation that is detrimental to one of the most dynamic sectors within the Vertical Transportation activity. We are referring to the Maintainers sector, whose long situation concerns us and has been discussed several times in these pages. We are publishing in this issue several articles about this subject, examined from different points of views, which help to reinforce the need to find an immediate solution to the unbalanced situation that these essential assistants are facing. Without their assistance, it would be impossible today, at least in our country, to maintain the security and development standards in the Vertical Transportation sector.

The maintenance market in decline

Mr Ish Buckingham, Director of the British magazine “Elevation”, has published in a recent issue of his magazine an interesting editorial article about the situation that Great Britain is going through within the maintainers sector. The similar reality that our country is facing has been the reason to publish this article (adapted to its translation) and this leads us to conclude that not only these situations take place everywhere, but also that the level between the developed countries and us is in many aspects very similar.
